Compounds
PopFoam is available in various grades and blends to offer key performance enhancers to your products. PopFoam has got you covered, whether your requirements are durability, strength, resilience, shock absorbing, flammability reduction, sound protection, vibration protection, custom colors and abrasion resistance we have a solution. Of course you still have the benefit of the cushioning comforts and the complement of design ascetics to your products. PopFoam’s cross linking agents are compounded to withstand the test of the environments. PopFoam performance in cold applications resists cold temperature brittleness, weathering and remains flexible under these extreme cold conditions while at the opposite end of the spectrum performing well to UV degradation, heat and withstanding harsh chemicals. Please be sure to request samples for your own evaluation, you will soon understand what we mean by “soft toughness”. The Injection Phase begins after the tooling is under clamping tonnage and can be controlled at any given segment by temperature, volume, velocity, pressure and time, all of which is monitored precisely. The compound is injected into the tooling under these controlled conditions at about 100 degrees Celsius (material dependent) and once the cavity of the tooling is filled the material flow is shut off by means of a shut off nozzle built into the tooling.
PopFoam can be custom compounded based on your application, however we do have many engineering compounds available as follows:
- General Purpose
- Ultra Soft Foam
- Medical Foam
- Shock Absorbing Foam
- High Resilience Foam
- Flame Retardant Foams
- Fragrance Foams
- Pet Foams
